I have just one problem with my Peer to Peer network here using my OS/2 WARP and WIN95 systems. When printing from my WIN95 PC to the OS/2 WARP Connect C using my Laserjet II, it prints nothing but garbage. I have checked all the settings, and nothing seems to help. I am not sure if the WIN95 PC is sending it and its getting trashed on the OS/2 system, or what.. Anyone having printing problems like this or know what I can do to fix it? Thanks! Nevermind on that last message.. Sorry. For some reason when I installed the LaserJet II drivers on the WIN95 PC, it didn't set the proper memory in the printer, and until I rebooted it - it was printing garbage. Strange.. Netbios OVER TCPIP is TCPBEUI, which is a totally different protocol. Win '95 only reconizes NETBIOS and TCPIP as protocols. It does not reconize TCPBEUI. And here's the cliche... OS/2 Warp, if you load TCPIP first, THEN want NETBIOS, the NETBIOS protocol will not load. It'll fail upon startup... Forcing you to load NETBIOS OVER TCPIP (TCPBEUI) which Win '95 won't reconize... Took me a few days to figure this one out... SO, load NETBIOS first, then TCPIP, and the two work fine together, AND can be networked with a Win' 95 machine. > I been trying to get my OS/2 workstation (not connect) to connect with a 3.1 > server and cant.. I have TCP/IP loaded in OS/2, & install'd the Netware > w.station client stuff to it.. > I should be taking a TCP/IP course for Netware shortly.. I'm not too heavy on Novell myself, but I do believe that TCPIP for Netware is a totally different software package that has to be installed seperate from Netware... SO, unless you already have tcpip for netware up and running, you're probably SOL. I could be wrong on this too... Just thought I remember reading that somewhere... You really ought to get Warp Connect... it comes with so much cool stuff for networking... -- Mack --- TRWMail v3 * Origin: [T]he [R]eal [W]orld BBS - OS/2 - Washington State (1:350/36) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 207 OS2 LAN Ref: DBM00006 Date: 07/18/96 From: ERIK COOLEN Time: 01:19pm \/To: ALL (Read 1 times) Subj: NETBUI Hi there All, I've connected two machines, one running Warp Connect and the other Win95.
