I therefore visited the company's site (NTI) -> and downloaded an upgrade from their site. On testing with this software -> (NTI CD-Maker Pro & Copy Tools and FileCD) it recognised my Dysan's -> capabilities, but asked for the original CD to unlock the writing from my -> upgrade ))-: If the CD was packet rather than stream written Win95 or NT would be required to *read* it along with a compatible CD drive. Newer CD's can see packet written disks and NT normally has no problems. Win95 sometimes has to have the read ahead cache turned off in order to see them. Those settings are under the Device Manager, Performance tabs. Note also CdR-W's like to have there *own* channel if they are IDE. If they are SCSI and the cable is short enough I've not have any problems. If there's enough horsepower present the IDE/CdR-W problem seems to go away. However I've pointed others to the drivers and they seem to be happy with them. Do they not work for you? If you have a corrupted system FR> partition, but a valid boot partition, FR> the floppy can be used to boot NT. OK you make a good point here. Write capability as far as writing to a file, there is none, and according to the author, there never will be one.
