The rest of GH> the network is 199% perfect. As I mentioned if the opposite was the case, amongst other things, if you have TCP/IP protocol bound to your Network Work Card, check and see if you have DHCP checked (95's TCP protocal setup defaults to DHCP, if you aren't running an NT DHCP server, uncheck the box). 95 can slow down checking for a DHCP server that isn't there or if you have DHCP incorrectly setup on your NT server). MM> Should I install NT on to "C"? Any and all suggestions MM> on how to get this MM> working are welcome. If you are using VFAT (Not FAT32) with windows 95, just install it to a different directory than you have Windows 95 in. (IE C:\WINNT) and NT will present you with a boot manager that will allow you to boot either W95 or NT4.0 on bootup. NT can't recognize a FAT32 partition and W95 can't recognize an NTFS partition. If you want to install them to the same hard drive and/or share data, you have to use a VFAT partition as the common file system. Piece of cake if you don't install NT into the same directory as W95. NT cannot migrate or share W95's directory and desktop settings. S'why you have to put it in a seperate directory (NT will suggest a seperate directory as a default). You will have to re-install some Windows software (IE OFFICE, Wordperfect win etc) so that they are correctly setup in NT, but all you have to do is just install them into the same directorys they are already in and all will be well. I've been dual booting NT/95 in the above manner on my home computer for almost 3 years now. --- Maximus/NT 3.01b1 * Origin: Cowboy Country USA! (1:303/1)
