Now I can't get JVFAX to scroll top to bottom either. It was working before, but since it would not work right in SSTV, decided to delete it. Downloaded it again from the FUNET archives, and now the SSTV works just fine, but the scan will not go from top to bottom like it did before. You go figure. It appears that to get the SSTV to work, you have to disable the EMM386 unless you have a super-fast computer like yours. Brother!!!!! Did you ever get the scan to work from top to bottom? Perhaps there are different revisions. The one I have is dated 8/31/94. --- timEd-B9 * Origin: Esc1.70 - - wa5dxp@mail.sstar.com - - (1:396/1.5) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 205 RTTY Ref: CED00002 Date: 10/07/95 From: FRED HATFIELD Time: 05:32pm \/To: JIM OVERSTREET (Read 4 times) Subj: JVFAX Problems In a message of <07 Oct 95 12:16:20>, Jim Overstreet (1:396/1.5) writes: JO>FH> Have you tried HFFAX? Only problem now, is that I am having same problem Fred is having, will not scan from the top to bottom. Who Knows. I just heard on the SSTV net that the author of JVFAX is coming out with a newer version next April. I kind-of gave up and am using EZSSTV, it works perfectly, no CFG files, nothing. Just plug and watch. I'll keep playing around with JVFAX and see what happens. I had to disable EMM386 to get the SSTV to work though, and the picture quality is not near as good as EZSSTV, even in 600 x 800 mode on this thing. Go to the fax menu (example mode 1 for 120/576), than to the mode editor screen (F6) and you can adjust the scan direction with the key in the field Scan direction. Tip: for weathermaps set the intensity level on 2 and you will have a better result with weak stations, only for Satpics you should set the intensity level on a higher level.
