RH>I've looked all over, but I cannot find it! Can somebody please tell me I don't know. Somebody said they found a copy on Borland's ftp site. If they don't have it, then it probably shouldn't be available. Of course, that doesn't mean it isn't..... For a brief time, it was on the simtel site, and was put on one version of the simtel/dos CDs. (I know, because that's how I grabbed a copy... Too bad I don't have any docs on how to use it.) There is/was a version ported to DJGPP included with the RHIDE editor for DJGPP. (I don't know if it still is, because I can't get hold of the newer versions. I don't have net access.) Or, you could always just go with something such as D-Flat. It was a CUA interface in C (with a C++ wrapper) that was done in Dr. Dobbs Journal. It's free to use. I don't know much about it, though. And there are others, such as jptui, etc. --- QScan/PCB v1.19b / 01-0162 * Origin: Jackalope Junction 501-785-5381 Ft Smith AR (1:3822/1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 203 C++ Ref: F3300048 Date: 03/01/98 From: CHRISTOPHER BUTLER Time: 11:32am \/To: JAN BIJSTERBOSCH (Read 3 times) Subj: C++ Hello Jan! Right - I assume you're in the US (to prove it, spell favourite/colour etc.!) so you probably won't be able to get it too easily. If you like, providing I get the CD back I'd be happy to post it to you. The couple of hundred megs you can use up on Full Installation need to be available - unless you actually copy the CD of course. I expect your Uni's got at least 1 CDRW! It is a free version (when the next similar one came out) so its perfectly legal to give it away I believe. Public domain sort of thing... Send me your address if you want it... > It's a royal pain in the butt > to always > have to go to the computer lab at school to work on my > programs when I I take it then you have a sufficient power house to cope with this thing? Moving from a 486DX-33 with 5Mb RAM to a 6x86 166+ with 32 Meg sure made a difference (1 hour to compile, down to 56 seconds in one case...). > could be working on them at home. Too right - the Turbo version wasn't too bad - it was one of the first pieces of software I *actualy* purchased without getting it with a computer... Its what I'm hoping to do at Uni basically (Computer Engineering...). BTW in return for this one I'd appreciate it if you could do two things: 1. Keep my NetMail/E-Mail/Whatever address and let me know how you get on. 2. Tell me what each year is called at Uni (at least in the US)... The word Sophomore rings a bell, and I believe you are a Freshman in the first year - correct?
