In protected mode, lot of problem with ->file manipulation functions.... ->What's latest fix ? PATCH30B.EXE will get you the latest patch to v3.0b. Available from CA web site at http://www.cai.com . Go into "Support" and chase the links to their ftp site. RK ->When will be better time releasing implemented directly into ->CA-TOOLS drivers ? (It's anoying under OS/2 or VIR'95 ) I'm sure the answer to that is "never." Version 3.05 of the NANFOR.LIB has a fix that so far seems to work under everything but NT 4. FT_OnIdle( {||FT_IAmIdle()} ) called once at the program startup. Make sure you comment it out if running under the debugger, or STEP (F8) mode will GPF it. That's the only known incompatibility. BB> Any ideas ? yep... the only thing you can do is indexing the database and write it like you want : indexed, don't you ? Well to do this, if I'm not wrong, you have o index the file TEMPO.DBF and after make a copy of this file while indexed to another, i.e. TEMPO_IND.dbf ... this last file will be a duplicate of the previous database, BUT IT IS STILL INDEXED ... ! :) That's all... If the problem is that you *CAN'T* do the indexing... well... you'll have to do an appl just to do this, external from the appl that will use the EMPO.DBF indexed. > * Byte byte by Vinx * Write me at : s183182@pentium.cdc.unict.it < --- Terminate 4.00/Pro * Origin: Veni, Vidi, Vinx (2:335/525.30) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 202 CLIPPER Ref: E4Z00001 Date: 04/24/97 From: PEDRO LEONARDO GRANATA Time: 08:22pm \/To: GABRIEL GOMEZ (Read 0 times) Subj: NetWare Presence! * Reply to a message in savearea. O, here it is, From Raymond Pesek _______________________________________________________ The usual problem is that a software timing loop in Tools III fails to execute on CPUs that pipeline memory, resulting in the error. If you're not using the MILLISEC() function, the object file at the end of the message will fix it, assuming the CPU is an AMD K5 or a Cyrix 6x86. The object file is MIME encoded.
