A pair of small bolt cutters would work fine. > Mark; you are beginning to sound dangerous. An interpretation of his remark could simply be that you don't have to send your car to a vo-tech school in order to run into types who would like to disable it. Anybody so inclined, with the necessary knowledge and armed with small bolt cutters, could do the job while it is parked in the police lot or at a curb somewhere. IOW (and I'm guessing on this), a shop with a lift and special equipment is not required. <---<< Barb >>---> --- * Origin: The Barb >>---> Killeen, Texas, USA (1:395/48) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 198 ASK A COP Ref: FA300001 Date: 05/24/98 From: DEB SMITH Time: 04:15pm \/To: TOM RIGHTMER (Read 0 times) Subj: Cop Bashing Re: Cop Bashing > MR> I've seen a officer exceding the speed limit, 15 mph faster then me in > MR> a 45. Seriously, What folks do not realize is the variety stores 7-11, ez Shop Circle K, and kwik shops *probally* are held up for robberies often, and usally they have a "silent" alarm. Now correct me if I am not right, as I am not an LEO, But once that button is pressed, officers in the area respond as fast as possible, *without* lights and sirens, so the perp thinks everything is going according to their plan. (my husband used to work in a shop that had one of those "panic buttons" that automaticly called the police) At least here in this town, as far as I know, once that button is hit, cops go and respond *WITHOUT* lights, and sirens and pray to god they catch the perp in the act. I can also define "ASSUME" (pardon me Paul but you know me I have to be evil! :) "U make an ass out of you and me" :) ASSUME (I highly doubt that would go over in a spelling bee! ;) Deb Mzpepper mzpepper@thorny.ml.org telnet://thorny.ml.org --- Tell Lorena Bobbitt Barney cheated on her. --- Virtual Advanced Ver 2 for DOS * Origin: Thorny's BBS, Lawrence, Kansas USA, (785) 832-2011 (1:299/121) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 198 ASK A COP Ref: FA300002 Date: 05/24/98 From: JOHN F DAVIS Time: 05:33pm \/To: MARK RACIBORSKI (Read 0 times) Subj: speeding MR>If you've got a better reason why a woman gets out of a ticket and a MR>man dosnt i'd love to heard it. Ok...Well what if the cop is a woman... After all, In nature protecting and serving the family (What cops do) is the FEMALE's job..... Here's the answer The woman is more likely to get out of a ticket because the MAN literly asks for it. Yes he asks for it. My brother (Who drives Semi) commented he did not like "lady bears" cause they were more likely to give him a ticket than the men were. So I asked him if he found the women in uniform attractive (Loaded question, Of course he does) He finally admitted it Then I asked him if he ever asked them for a date (yes) Well... She gave him a date too (It's near the bottom of the ticket) He said: "But I did not mean a date with the judge, I ment with her" Two answers to that: 1; Next time be more specefic 2: She'll be there The above, though true, is meant in the spirit of humor and clearly says more about truck drivers than cops. * SLMR 2.1a * 7 out of 8 drivers have insurance, The 8th, An Accident --- Silver Xpress Mail System 5.03H1 * Origin: The Chessplayer's Forum (313)386-7054 (1:2410/278) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 198 ASK A COP Ref: FA300003 Date: 05/25/98 From: MIKE MCCANN Time: 03:11pm \/To: MARK RACIBORSKI (Read 0 times) Subj: CCW You have impressed me agasin with you whit!
