Even in the court system we RB> have the 'good faith' exception ... why do we give cops good faith, RB> when so many people that they arrest never would? There are many highly technical issues that you could put 3 lawyers and 3 judges in the same room and have 6 different opinions about the same question. This is the reason for the Good Faith Exception, not something dark and sinister, just common sense. This question involves a technical error that shouldn't allow a criminal to go free, not something that some PR squad needs to cover up. You took a subject that you obviously don't understand and tried to sling mud at the police again. You need to select subjects you are more familiar with. Is MetLife using RW>cartoon characters because they want kids to buy RW>insurance?? I think I answered this. Snoopy, And the strip, Are intended for "Young Adults" (IE: 20's) as are most all comic strips. In another time and place I chat with, among others, the people who WRITE some of the strips. One very wise man said you don't make a successful comic or strip by writing for kids... You make one by writing for the person who has the money (their parents) and this makes a rather large amount of sense. An example of this. Garbage Can Kids trading card serries. I refused to waste my money on this crap and prohibited my daughter from doing so But I read Peanuts (I'm 47) and rather like Snoopy myself. And, as I said, Also have a policy with Met Life (Though it pre-dates their spokes 'toon) Comic strips serve many functions... One is entainerment, But if you look close you find a lot of things like social commentary and other educational matters are snuck in there in such a way you don't notice till you've learned somethign. * SLMR 2.1a * In plumbing, A straight flush is better than a full house --- Silver Xpress Mail System 5.03H1 * Origin: The Chessplayer's Forum (313)386-7054 (1:2410/278) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 198 ASK A COP Ref: F4H00000 Date: 04/12/98 From: MIKE MCCANN Time: 04:12pm \/To: BLAKE BOWERS (Read 0 times) Subj: officer down Nashville Blakr, I didn't catch the names but with allthe newbiesI didn't recognize them, but then again, I haven't been on the street since 1992.
