Very much like the messages you read, on your screen. It's the very basic of formats, Clarence. The Good points are, they're very small, highly compressible and have practically NO overhead. The Bad points are, you can't do a lot with them, as far as trying to make things look more "fancier" (for lack of a better term), like colors, graphic symbols, etc... Those can be found in the higher graphics formats, such as .gif, .bmp, .jpg, etc... WordPad comes with Windows'95. You should have been around here, back in the '80's! EVERYTHING was done via the telephone lines (pre-Planet Connect), and to save money, the messages weren't sent until the rates were cheaper (read: mail transfers, once a day!) Well Jerry (BTW is Tom still with you?), that is just what my computer man told me, viz., that I would lose WordPerfect and DOS when I went to Win95 so I called him last night and asked him again if I would truly still lose my DOS ued editor and he finally said that he could keep it in there for me since I liked it so much! And BTW, BWave will not import WordPerfect formats, at least not on my computer, but if Windows can, that would be nice, but, however, since I have found DOS ued and it works perfect with BWave, if truly don't even need WordPerfect any more except for the Spell Checker part, which ued doesn't have and I wish it did! Version 6.0c dos is very stable. I upgraded to wp8 and am having an intermittent problem. Sometimes, when I load it and go to open a doc, it crashes and says there is a problem in user.exe.
