Why should everyone have to pay extra tax, just because some folks are not responsible? Thats not fair. Yes dear, I know 'life isnt fair' but we do make some effort to attempt to make it as nearly so as we can when it comes to laws. No, I would object to all the folks being taxed, because some folks do not support their actions in such a way as to result in children who need support that a remaining parent cant give. Guess what. We are *already* taxed to provide for that. Its wrong, bu the only way out of it, is to go after the parent who isnt helping the other one as best as they can. This reminds me of something going on right now among the folks in my workplace. The guy has custody (very junior, cant afford anything, not even an apartment). The woman just handed the kid over and dissapeared on him. She wont provide enough financial support to feed the kid or even her half of the childcare fees at the reduced military rates. *Fortunately* we folks stick together and have it worked out somewhat for the moment for him. My husband who stays at home, is going to take care of this newborn for some of the time, and others are there for other times until we get back in port. (Going to sea shortly as Navy folks do). Once the paperwork is completed giving him legal custody of a child that he was not even listed on the birth certificate of, we can get him housing and other things. Other than not having an abortion, the 'little girl mommie' didnt do a damn thing right on this one. She even got every penny the man had saved, to pay for her medical bills in return for handing the newborn over. His checking account is a flat .34 cents. He has to date: 1 birth certificate (On which he was NOT listed), one newborn (6 days old), no experience, E1 pay, and friends who care enough to make it work. Humm. Maybe he is kinda rich after all? xxcarol --- Telegard v3.09.g1 * Origin: SHENK'S EXPRESS Norfolk VA 757-486-3057 28.8 Dual (1:275/100) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 198 ASK A COP Ref: F1E00000 Date: 01/09/98 From: TODD JASPERS Time: 12:17am \/To: RON TAYLOR (Read 1 times) Subj: Choices... -> Ok. But it would have enevitably happened somewhere else.. you understand what im saying. I don't think that anyone has a problem with parents being involved in censorship, but I was talking about a discussion which would go beyond parents. The topics were bombs, terrorism, fraud, and other criminal how to do topics which are easily available from many sources. Is there really a reason for these topics other than our own victimization and end? I could make the argument for the other side and say that any censorship is bad, but I really don't believe that. It really doesn't matter that the material will be used only by consenting adults, as nothing good can result from the material.
