I've seen a lot of neighborhoods where the neighbors could care less about your alarm going off due to apathy. I've seen neighborhoods where neighbors are accustomed to hearing your alarm false and therefore think nothing of it when a real alarm occurs. Years ago, I had a service station owner on my patrol. When he got burglarized, I suggested to him that he get an alarm. He refused. Shortly afterward when I stopped by his place he produly showed me his two doberman guard dogs that were going to protect his place. About a week later I responded to a burglary call and found a much embarrassed service station owner who had been burglarized.....and had his guard dogs stolen (or possibly run off?). Suggestion: Learn how to secure your home and your possessions; and learn how to protect yourself.
