People are spending far too much time these days looking at the machines instead of the patient. If a monitor is going to be used, however, it is good to use it appropriately. I've been lurking in the shadows for the last few months while I go to school to learn the basics. I've finished the class, passed the skills and am now waiting for next Thursday to get here so I can take the Texas EMT-B certification. The last four and a half months have been most interesting. I will be joining the local volunteer service. Any tips for the new guy? He used my account because he wanted to see what "BBS-ing" was all about. so I called up the EMS echo and turned him loose. He is a fine young man of 21, who has been a volunteer since he was 16 years old, as soon as he could legally do so. He became an EMT several years ago through a program held at our local medical center, and graduated from Corning, NY Community College in 1996 as a Paramedic with an AAS Degree. Guess that tells you that Lillian Ackley is a proud grandmother. Best, Lillian P.S. I will save and print your message for Larry. --- MjrFIDO 3.25 * Origin: *** Cyber-Quest Online Services *** (1:260/755) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 197 EMERGENCY Ref: E1V00000 Date: 01/23/97 From: CHARLIE SEAY Time: 08:49pm \/To: BLAKE BOWERS (Read 0 times) Subj: Just wondering...
