-------------------------------------------------------------------- Armored car heist suspect chartered plane to Notre Dame game OKLAHOMA CITY November 20, 1997 00:23 a.m. EST - After stealing millions in cash from an armored car, Michael Lutz didn't flee to South America or the Caribbean - he spent $6,000 on a private flight to a Notre Dame football game, an FBI agent testified Wednesday. The Fighting Irish lost to Michigan State 23-7 in September, and Lutz lost again Wednesday when a magistrate denied bail for him and former armored car guard Bobby O'Neal Negri. Lutz, 23, and Negri, 30, are accused of robbing a Loomis, Fargo, and Co. armored car in Stroud on June 25, Negri's birthday. The two allegedly looted the car of $2.7 million while another guard was buying breakfast at a McDonald's, leaving Negri's gun and a postcard that read: "Is Paris nice this time of year? Oui, Bye." --------------------------------------------------------------------- --- DB 1.39/004487 * Origin: Volunteer BBS (423) 694-0791 V34+/VFC (1:218/1001.1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 196 AVIATION Ref: EFQ00003 Date: 11/19/97 From: JIM SANDERS Time: 12:25pm \/To: HEIKO BAUER (Read 0 times) Subj: Zoche diesel HEIKO, In a message dated 11-18-97 you wrote ... > In Germany thats the way it is, visioneers don`t have any chance without > the right lobby. I've even offered to pay the boss's FIDOnet fees each month in an effort to help his polling the backbone. In the first case, I got no reply, in Ed's case he agreed to consider the situation, and I'm advertising the board for him in an effort to expand the user base. It works both ways. It's not enough for users just to post and upload, they need to take a pro-active stance in maintaining their BBS. One hopes the sysop has the experience to recognize the true meaning of serious offers of aid and not put them off when they are made. The internet is no excuse for taking a board down, not for the most part. Christopher ...
