Guess I haven't met too many airplanes that I couldn't get along with. Been in some that I didn't particularly care for, but never really had a BAD time in any of them, from the Sonerai and Pitts right on up to the DC-3. I guess what I really like is the variety. I enjoy getting into different types, and learn a little from each and every one. BTW, never had the chance yet to fly a King Air, but I'm looking forward to the day when I do!! I'd love to get a handful of those PT-6s!! Of course, there's always the soft spot in my heart for the old "basic" birds. No matter what, a guy can have a heck of a lot of fun in a Cub or a T-crate!! Cool and quiet. I am reading avery detailed article covering the entire history in text and fotos of the B-17. Included are things I had forgotten about like the Cheyenne tail gunner's compartment and the provision for external bombs. It also makes mention of the groups of the 15th but, of course, the 8th gets most of the coverage. --- FLAME v1.1 * Origin: The Grotto - Arvada, CO (303) 421-7186 V.32bis (1:104/251) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 196 AVIATION Ref: EBC00111 Date: 07/06/97 From: JIM COLE Time: 01:21pm \/To: ALL (Read 0 times) Subj: Aviation Enthusiast Corn Just want to let all of you know of a very nice Internet Site that I ran across the other day.
