I think someone RB> on the Board probably has the information. They appear to have hit trees about 20 feet from their tops - the trees averaged 60 feet in height, and were on a 700 foot ridge about three miles from the runway threshold. They were using two hour old ATIS info. Had they asked for and properly set the latest altimeter setting, it would have made about 80 feet of difference. They were, however, about 300 feet below the MDA when they hit the trees. -==- --- GoldED/386 2.42.G0615+ * Origin: Bill's Point -=- Regina, Sask, Canada (1:140/23.464) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 196 AVIATION Ref: EAM00030 Date: 06/16/97 From: BILL WUNSCH Time: 11:26am \/To: JIM SANDERS (Read 0 times) Subj: horse power Greetings, Jim! They claim the dummer the horse (just like people), the easier it is to train them to do repetitive tasks. -==- --- GoldED/386 2.42.G0615+ * Origin: Bill's Point -=- Regina, Sask, Canada (1:140/23.464) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 196 AVIATION Ref: EAM00031 Date: 06/17/97 From: SAMMY FINKELMAN Time: 09:28am \/To: FRED SHABEC (Read 0 times) Subj: American airlines acco FS> The NTIS will charge you for the report. In the European theater in WW II, the 8th and 15th were classed as strategic air forces and the 9th and 12th were tactical.
