Changes should be the primary suspect. FWIW, you should seriously look at upgrading the 3.11 network, since it is not year 2000 compliant, and is supporting fewer and fewer new products. TA = AT/Hayes Serial Only problem is that you propably don't have the equivalent of a W95 .INF file for what ever TA you are planning. However. The DOC's has a nice description of how to Edit & Compile these definition files. If you know a little about modems in general, you should be able to define it right and get it to work. (i've made 3 of these files for diff. AT/Hayes, Serial (Modem like) TA's. I have however not installed them in a production environment, i just made the files for other Novell CNE's, CNA's etc. who did'nt know Jack about AT commands. TA = Non AT/Hayes, Non Serial If you buy a ISA or PCI card for your machine, be very sure that it includes a CAPI for Novell. If it does, it can be defined as a WAN card and used for networking regards Kristian Rask, Denmark --- GEcho 1.02+ * Origin: Using of ISDN gear :-) (2:237/11.405) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 194 NOVELL Ref: F1^00003 Date: 01/30/98 From: BRIAN SHEPERD Time: 08:16am \/To: BERND HEUCKENDORF (Read 3 times) Subj: Re: Prune/graph help -=> Quoting Bernd Heuckendorf to Brian Sheperd <=- BH> As far as I know right now (and I just got up) there's no inheritance BH> of file or directory atributes. This would be an intermittent (as needed) ISDN connection and I would like to be able to have multiple workstations use the single connection. I realize that too many WS would slow down the data rate. Luckily there should not be a large number on the Internet at any one time. I plan to use Netscape as the browser from WIN3x, Win95 and OS/2. Costs have to be kept as low as possible to provide this feature. I have spare computers available if needed and plan to purchase an ISDN modem. What do I need to look at? Where do I start?
