No I haven't yet. I wasn't sure what difference it might be over Novell DOS. Do you know if Windows 95 will run on it? At 1st glance it looks like all they did was rename it. I know thats a wrong assumption tho. I didn't even know Caldera bought NWDOS until I asked them about RedHat 4 months ago! :/ You Aussies have really got it on the Ball over there. My 1st 2 responses came from Oz. I've got it in my mind to come over there and compare notes with you guys. Keep up the good work, you may soon out pace the USA! :) I mean it mate! [:) I've posted this at least once, but it may not have gotten out. Either way, perhaps because of a little trouble on this end I haven't seen any replies. Darned Fido... Anyway, I've got another minor problem that I believe is Novell related and would appreciate some advice. I'll describe the system in a moment, but the problem is that I occasionally get screens-full of angle- brackets ("<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<><<<<<<<<<<<<") on my workstations when applications terminate. Sound familiar yet? I only get this on the workstations and never on the server. The applications involved include... well, everything so far. It's happened for Login, Logout, Map, NetUser, NetAdmin, and all my accounting software (CA AccPac). I can see activity between the server and the workstation as if they're trying to re-transmit data but all that comes across are the angle- brackets. The only way out seems to be a warmboot. It hasn't caused any problems >yet< since it's only happened when programs terminate, but it certainly is annoying. And it seems to be getting worse. Anywho, I thought that it may be a driver problem so I called 3Com and downloaded the latest drivers that they had. That hasn't helped, but in the course of replacing drivers and experimenting I discovered that this problem almost always occurs for user accounts and only rarely for the administrator. I surmised that this must be some kind of context error so I tried moving around some of the users and the administrator and whatnot but this didn't help. I'm thinking that there may be a trusteeship problem or something but I'm really just grasping at straws. I've worked around networks before, but this is my first time with one of the quality of Novell. The system is Novell IntraNetWare v4.11 running under OS/2 Warp 4. The workstations are diskless, booting an image of Ms-Dos. The networking cards are 3Com 3C905TX 100BaseT on a single 3Com 100Mb/s SuperStack II hub. Everything's Pentium. Scsi-UW on the server with an Adaptec 2940UW host adapter. TIA. ** "It did what? It has been a while but, it's somewhat time dependent. Depends on which courses you took for 3.x. For a time, if you had taken the 3.x to 4.11 update test, that replaced both 4. admin and 4. advanced admin. Can't recall if you'll have to have 4. install and config, but no matter what, you'll need 4. Design & Implementation.
