I don't know of anyone who has written an NLM to do this, although it would be an interesting exercise. There are utilization logging NLM, such as the SS.NLM and CPU-UTIL.NLM set at "ftp://tribble.missouri.edu/pub/novell/". In the meantime, if you can spare an XT for a while as a logger, you can run: ETHLD104.ZIP 165K 1-17-94 EthLoad public domain Ethernet LAN packet analyzer, 94-Jan-19 v1.04 This is available from me by FReq (1:323/107) or download (+1 401 944 8498) and from numerous Internet sites. -- Mike --- * Origin: N1BEE BBS +1 401 944 8498 V.34/V.FC/V.32bis/HST16.8 (1:323/107) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 194 NOVELL Ref: E5S00031 Date: 05/22/97 From: MIKE BILOW Time: 11:44pm \/To: ARTHUR MARSH (Read 3 times) Subj: remote reboot of C32/DOS? Perhaps you could use some kind of pre-boot utility? My OS/2 machine, for example, has the OS/2 Boot Manager set to delay 300 seconds before starting any operating system. This prevents the machine from bouncing up and down if the power or some other external influence goes funny. -- Mike --- * Origin: N1BEE BBS +1 401 944 8498 V.34/V.FC/V.32bis/HST16.8 (1:323/107) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 194 NOVELL Ref: E5S00032 Date: 05/22/97 From: MIKE BILOW Time: 11:47pm \/To: ARTHUR MARSH (Read 3 times) Subj: Syncing time with a timeserver Arthur Marsh wrote in a message to Mike Bilow: MB> That's nasty! I've confirmed that there is no way to do it under NW 3.x, but there is under NW 4.x: the syntax is "SET TIMEZONE=WAT-0930". Why, you can do this with the standard stuff. First run BINDFIX twice on the 3.12 server. Then copy the .OLD files to the 4.1 server SYS volume. When you do the install of 4.1 it will now migrate passwords. framsey@goodyear.com; frank.ramsey@fallsbbs.com - CNE, CNA-4, PE --- EZPoint V2.2 * Origin: -- A Point on Pine Lake (330)-796-3146 -- (1:157/603.70) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 194 NOVELL Ref: E5S00037 Date: 05/22/97 From: SCOTT PARKS Time: 06:24pm \/To: CHARLES MILLER (Read 3 times) Subj: Alternative clients for Windows 95: Nove18:24:4205/22/97 Charles Miller wrote in a message to Mike Bilow: CM> MS does not see NDS. When we shut off of bindery access these people lost their local access. For these few we may go to the 32bit Novell client but are back on bindery for now. As I've only had limited experience in this field I don't totally know what's happening. So if there is anyone out there who knows where I can get hold of some info about setting up / using networks I would really appreciate hearing from you. (btw.. the system we're using is an NT server with 9 clients running Win 95.. we're using a star hub with the server acting as the print manager..) Once again thanx....
