Usually the mail is written at the user's mail directory in the server, it is not sent to his personal HD, so he can access his mail from any PC in the network. Each time a message is posted, the recipient receives a sign of arriving message. DV> A question from a co-worker. What does top priority do? In novell mail system, Urgent messages just appear in red, I think there is nothing else different. Yesterday I moved around one GB to free up another HD thinking that the problem was with my disk. It took me a bit further into the installation but reported numerous errors while reading DDI -files. Eventually I had to cancel out. I made several tries to copy large amounts from the CD to my hard drive, and the computer hung repeatedly while reading some files. Today I took the CD to a friend and copied abt 25 MB to his HD with very little problem. So it does seem that this particular CD is very picky with players. My CD-player is an Acer 8 spin. My friends is an older Pioneer (I think), and only double spin. None of them has a caddy. After configure drivers on the new server. 2.Use migrate utility with across the wire migrarion option. Hi All!!!!!!!!!!! I have just added a fourth IDE HD to one of the 3.12 servers. It's a 2.5 GB Bigfoot Quantum HD. The problem I have is that the drive appears as a 2.147 GB, I'm loosing 300 MB somewhere. When I create the partition, it tells me that there is 2.450 GB (around) plus hotfix. When I create the volume it shows 2.407 GB. The server has 32 MB RAM. Is a Pentium 120. When I map the new disk from a workstation I just have 2.147 GB free. I have tried: LBA, NORMAL and LARGE at bios setup.. all the same. I have changed the block size from 4K to 64K with the same result. In some of the tests there came to be 1.995 GB. (worst!) Don't remember exactly which, but it was while I was changing block sizes. I'm using IDE.DSK, now I think that I could try with ISADISK, could that be the problem? Thanks for your help.
