Seems you are purging ot recover memory, which I'm not sure I FR> understand, at least from the descriptions. Yeah, we kind of got sidetracked. Let me start over. Case 1: Never manually run PURGE. After about 2 weeks, MACOLA, a DOS btrieve app, begins to "lose transactions." I can't describe the exact symptom, but it is a big problem for the customer...they have to go back and find what entries "took" and which didn't, and correct it all...a really big mess occurs. Case 2: Run PURGE /ALL every few days. The above symptom never happens. LOTS of free disk space on the MACOLA volume (in fact, on all volumes). A CNE advised either a. add server memory, or b. continue the PURGE process, because the deleted files list was in memory, and as the list grew, some other process was running short of memory. --- GEcho 1.11+ * Origin: Flamingo BBS, Melbourne, FL V34+ (407)242-8184 (1:374/46) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 194 NOVELL Ref: E2G00002 Date: 02/11/97 From: JOHN BODONI Time: 09:21pm \/To: DAVID JONES (Read 3 times) Subj: NOT-LOGGED-IN David Jones wrote in a message to All: DJ> What causes NOT-LOGGED-IN to appear in the Connection info window DJ> of remote console?
