I am not a novice. The extent of my networking experience is when I installed Lantastic a few years ago for a charitable organization. It worked then. They have since moved on to Novell. And i haven't done anything more about networking other than read about it in MAGs. I have called a few training centers, but can't afford their fees. Any ideas?? In this same server, we have a SCSI CDROM. The problem is that we cannot mount CDs with many files. It says "Cache memory allocator out of available space". As Oracle uses 70% of the server memory as non-movable, will I have to add more memory so I can mount any CD? Isn't there any set command that may help? I tried some, but the problem persists (I can't find any that increases the cache memory). Thanks for any help. Boot from network means that you will load the operating system from a file server. It is called "remote boot". Reply "no" to that question. It is only useful if you have a "diskless" computer and a Network interface card (NIC) with a "remote boot" ROM chip. Almost always it is used in some special business situations. If you have any other reply to this question, would you please send it for me ?
