As I've just said, the internal SCSI cable was faulty. Fixed the latch bar and it worked. However have had to do what you said since when I loaded adaptec to try sbackup. Everything just locked up and the third time on the switch I needed to run vrepair. Thanks for the reply. VR> Vyacheslav Redka Thanks for the reply, but my face is a bit eggy. The actual cause turned out to be a faulty internal SCSI cable. Once I fided it, this problem was fixed. A coax segment can run for about 180m and take more workstations that you are ever likely to connect at home. By far the easier and cheaper option for a small LAN. Note: It is not recommended to register memory manually in 4.10. The patch 410pt3.exe makes a call to the machines bios and asks it how much memory it has. If the machine supports this call, then netware will see all the memory. If the machine does not support this call, then you have a couple options at this time. One, see if there is a bios update, two, register memory manually until you can get another machine, or live with the errors you will get after registering memory manually. Bottom line, at this time is that it is best if the machine will see all the memory without manually registering it in 4.10.
