Considering the price difference between SCSI & EIDE, I think I'd put up with the messages and go for price. As long as you know from whence those messages come from so you aren't concerned about them, it shouldn't cause any problems. You may want to limit the space on your server log since you already know some of the messages you'll be getting. As for the "CNE-in-Waiting", keep at it, its worth it! Give the following command at the DOS prompt ;-) setver netx.com 5.00 (I'm not sure what you mean "it would not add that file") Giving the command setver on its own will list the files and the appropriate DOS version they expect. Run setver now to check that your update has been successful. Put a device=C:\DOS\setver.exe in your config.sys The next step is to make sure setver is loaded from your config.sys You can use the F8 key when "Starting MS-DOS..." appears and step through to ensure setver is loaded without error. ---------- NO NEED TO UPGRADE NOVELL ---------------- This is the simple solution. You may want in the future to look at learning about VLM's (that's the next lesson) if you want to connect WFWG with Win95 stations and Novell. Yours in connectivity, Paul.
