Hi Thomas, To make mac cds available to users on a Netware server, you will have to load the Mac namespace by typing the following at the server console: load mac add namespace mac to Replace with the volume name of the cd rom drive. I am assuming that you are already able to use your cd rom drive on the network for regular cd roms. If not let me know. I have a problem with my CDROM changer. It only recognizies the first CD out of 7. I use LUN_ENABLE=FF and it does not help. I run Novell Netware 4.1 and a Adaptec 2842 (AIC 7770 Driver) running on IRQ 11. I have 3 1gb drives also attached to the same controller. Running latest drivers available from Adaptec as well. The Changer is attached to SCSI ID 5. I tried the following. MULTLUN_TARGETS=20 LUN_ENABLE=FF and still no luck. Whats wrong with the above? Any ideas on how to get the NOS to see the other CDs? Still same error. Then someone informed me that Netware IP uses a non compliant winsock and it has to use it's own winsock not the MS Windows one. So I renamed the winsock in the windows directory and copied the *.dll's from the c:\net\bin directory to my windows dir and Netscape worked. I know you have looked for duplicate winsocks (and net.cfg socket parm) but due to the above problem I started playing around with various winsocks (I now have a draw full) and have built a bit of an analogy with my own sock draw (you know the missing sock syndrome) ......... as i mentioned before this may be of no help at all. ============================================== How to wear socks. (Novell v Microsoft) If you have two red socks place them on the same foot and wear nothing on the other. As soon as red socks become separated one will become lost until the day comes when you want a blue one. When you purchase blue socks throw one of them away immediately, that is the only way to find your missing red sock. Never place red and blue socks together in a washing machine, the machine will break down. Every couple of months burn all your socks just to get your own back. --- GEcho 1.11+ * Origin: Usenet :MetroBus (1:343/70) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 194 NOVELL Ref: DC500003 Date: 08/04/96 From: DAVID CLIFTON Time: 08:30pm \/To: FRANK RAMSEY (Read 6 times) Subj: Re: 4.1 and files In a message of (30 Jul 96 21:02:20), Frank Ramsey wrote to David Clifton: DC>> I'm waiting on a return call from MF now.
