This time it is called EVENT HORIZON, and even though it doesn't change their histories in an alternate reality, it does reboot their titles back to #1. The Book involved are Daredevil, Punisher, Black Panther, and The Inhumans. Daredevil is the only character with an existing series, and I guess fans are not going to make much of a fuss over the other three, who currently have no title at the moment. I guess that only objective really is to generate some interest in these characters prior to giving them another go at a new series. I don't anticipate much from this gimmick, for it could of reminds me of when Ghost Rider had that "Night of the Midnight Sons" saga that launch off Morbius, Blade, and a couple other titles. Those titles just went caplute! --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: EVERGREEN ONE,Cashmere Wa.ZyXel 2864 28.8 (509) 782-4259 1:344/91) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 101 COMICS Ref: F4200060 Date: 03/29/98 From: ROBERT RICHARDS Time: 08:38pm \/To: DAVE JANSEN (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: The BEST kang story On Sun 29-Mar-1998 4:32 , Dave Jansen wrote: DJ> Check out Hulk 135 ,from january,1971,for a most EXCELLENT kang story, DJ> that ranks as a hulk classic.VERY well written! If anyone kept up with the title after #101 to #130,I'd like to hear what transpred,as well with the team titans after issue#10. As well, was it ever resolved just who masquraded as Rita Farr in issue#99? What did it for me,was seeing how insaine they were turning Changling into, & the truely hidous creatures he was becoming,as well as the truely AWFUL art of Bill Jaska!! Man, he was decent on the x-men fill ins he did,but he ground the titans into the dirt!! Marv Wolfman as well, spent a good dozen years on the relationship between Nightwing & Koriander, & that seems now to be just dust in the wind.Frankly, I was hooked on the title from issue 13 on,then got the first 12 issues. By chance I had bought the first introductary tale, but it did'nt grab me.I bought them from 13 to 59,then from #1 vol 3, to 35, when I at last quit. I bought 7 issues of the return of Perez with 50,a few now and then like 60-61,65, then with 71, stuck it out for 30 more issues.I had the very first issue back in 65-66 or so, but they didnt much grab me,even the Neil Adams issues in 69 that I picked up.Wolfman &Perez, produced some of their finest work of their careers on the early 80s issues. When you've reached the top, where does one go but down? I think that Wolfman just couldnt wrap up his storylines, & like Claremont, draged them to death. The brother blood one in particuler. At best, I give the new titans to issue 50. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v2.1d * Origin: The Playhouse TC's Gaming BBS/www.phouse.com/698.3748 (1:282/4059) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 101 COMICS Ref: F4300005 Date: 04/01/98 From: STEPHEN TURNER Time: 10:44pm \/To: DAVE JANSEN (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: Alfred in the movies On 30 Mar 98 14:45:24, Dave Jansen said this to Stephen Turner.
