I was going to go with BNC (or i guess that is coax, isn't it?), since what i understand of it is that i can easily add another machine simply by getting some more cable, and moving the terminator to the end. I'll very probably have a 6x86 or pentium by the end of the year, so i'll want to add that in as well. ttyl, greg --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: * Chaos BBS * 6i3.389.O8i6 * Kingston, ON! Is there any way to use IPX? there's a couple games and stuff i'd like to run over the net (and probably get another couple systems over so we can have big tournaments ;) ) and it's IPX that they run with (I've had them running using my very primitave slow setup - Grabbed a program called "PIPX" which emulates a network card using the parallel ports, then ran NW Lite's server and client progams on both machines.. worked great. (execpt file transfers were slow..) Thanks a lot.. ttyl, greg --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: * Chaos BBS * 6i3.389.O8i6 * Kingston, ON! If you want to share files across a network, a peer-to-peer system, such as Lantastic, Netware Lite, or Windows would probably be best. However, if you're wanting a LOT of people to have access to a secure system and limit access on that server, Novell would be your best bet. Also, I'd suggest you make your FASTEST machine your server. John ...
