Thanks to Ronald, John, Mark, Rick, Malcolm and the rest who responded to my plea for help. The problem's solved! I changed the Baud rate in the Terminal options menu in the pgms config section, but I neglected the Line speed settings for all the entries in the phonebook (directory). They were still at the old rate for my previous 14.4kb critter (19200). I now have both Baud rate and Line settings set at 57600. I'm also happy to report consistent 28800 or better connects with this ACER unit. The only beef I have with this unit is the lack of manuals for either h/w or s/w. Terry. --- OLX 2.2 TD AMD 5x86-133. I ask this to convince new computer users that the computers for BBS run 24 hours a day and will run forever. People can't believe it "WHAT? Never turn off your computer?" Let me answer your question about GEcho 1.O. It is an older program which I have set up on my BBS. I wouldn't change it for the world. IT WORKS GREAT.... GEcho is a mail tosser. When the fidonet mail comes in at 2:3O A.M. GEcho will automatically start up and place the TELIX messages into the Telix echo area and the Ham Radio messages into the HAM RADIO echo and so on. There are many other good mail tossers out here which I haven't tried. Just from my experience I will stick with GEcho. Hallo, I' am a newbie in the Windows 95 area. So, since five years i'am working with Telix 3.21 and i used my old modem with max. 14400 speed. Now i have a new modem and the max. speed is up to 33600. But with Telix v.3.21 (DOS) i cannot reach this 33600 speed. Question : How can I change to 33600 while the set-up is only max. 19200 ? Question 2 : Is Telix for Windows up to 33600 or faster? Or have i to look for another communication program? Thanks in advance for your reaction.
