For 14.4 it is 38400. 33.6 should be set for a thru-put of 115200. But this does not seem to be the problem. I have had problems with telix 3.22. Can use Z to dload but not uload on all connections. Now use Comit for these connections. Check your thru-put speed and then take a look at your buffer size. Other than that I guess I should shut-up. :-0 DM. ___ X MM 1.0 X Unregistered X MailMaker - Your Windows offline reader! --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Cowgirl's Rodeo (1:250/401) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 192 TELIX Ref: F3H00001 Date: 03/11/98 From: GREGG ZUELKE Time: 07:23pm \/To: ALAN HESS (Read 0 times) Subj: Password.slc I have the copy of password.slc for telix. I only used the unix shell on my ISP to telnet, so only the ISP's phone number is in telix.fon. Once connected and at the '%' prompt I use Telix's Alt-K command to load a separate *.key file in which I have pre-entered the address (I use this for both telnet and lynx addresses). Press the F-key for the address you want and off you go. You can get.... um, I think 65 or 70 characters on a line in the telix.key file or use a different file called address.key or something. Since you can assign text to Shift, Alt, and Ctrl F-keys as well, you can have 48 addresses in a key file. --- timEd 1.10+ * Origin: SoundProof Point, Pittsburgh PA (1:129/26.2) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 192 TELIX Ref: F3H00003 Date: 03/11/98 From: JASEN BETTS Time: 06:23pm \/To: DENNIS FARKAS (Read 0 times) Subj: ANSI DF> Can't tell why the modem disconnects, the ansi screen starts DF> scrolling across the screen, it gets to the end of a line about 3/4 DF> down the screen and CLICK, instant disconnect (always in exactly DF> the same place). If I set "drop dtr" to off, the modem will still disconnect instantly upon receiving the offending ansi code and refuses to disconnect during a normal logoff. What I'm really looking for is to find out "What" ansi code is doing this and any other common denominator between systems. Are these sysops using a common Ansi editor that might have a bug in it, is there a bug in Telix that only now has surfaced. The problem definitely does not lie with the Telco service, Calgary has been blessed with the finest Telco service in the world, and insider friends from both Telus and Northern Telecom have checked my phone line and have both told me that short of recinding the "Laws of Physics" it just doesn't get any better. ___ * OFFLINE 1.58 --- Maximus 3.01 * Origin: The Inner Sanctum BBS (403) 248-9005 (1:134/222) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 192 TELIX Ref: F3J00000 Date: 03/13/98 From: BOBBY SAYLOR Time: 02:46pm \/To: CAMERON HALL (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: ANSI Cameron, was babbling on about the following.
