I have passed the duties on to: Ben Carpenter Step up Ben and make yourself know. Good luck! I will be shutting down my BBS and dropping out of FIDO. I will still telnet in every once in a while to see how things are going. I am *NOT* shutting down MPH Software if you hear of someone that needs some custom scripting and/or communications program. Since my latest communications products do not include Telix packaged with them I am having a sale to get rid of some of my Telix inventory. I currently have 152 copies of "Telix lite" I would like to sell at a GREAT price. Telix lite is basically the same as Telix v2.5 for DOS (I think that's the version number). It is a good stable older version. It is NOT upgradable to the latest version. Salt scripts work just fine with it. My business was built using this version. While they last I will sell them for ONLY $22 a copy. Just send your order and check to: MPH Software 6676 Robinson School Rd. New Athens, IL 62264 I am changing my internet address soon so those that want to keep in touch need to take note. If you don't need it, don't sweat it. GP>HI Pete...know since I'm knot a SysOp of a BBS and I don't use all my GP>Alt-key commands in telix..ok..So your saying in the statement above if GP>I understand right...with other computer hook-up to you come enter the GP>doorway mode if it's turn on and see that's on your HD if the other GP>person know how to use the Alt-key commands to jump to dos on your GP>computer in telix. See I like to try this with a friend of my who I GP>truth knot to del a thing on my HD after he pass through the GP>doorway..which he use to run telix at one time a was a SysOp to of his GP>BBS..Maybe you answer my question about the doorway mode in telix and I GP>just haven't seen it in your statement above or your didn't answer the GP>question the way I was hoping to be answer..I real don't know..:) Doorway mode is when you are on your computer, running something on the computer you have called. If I am on my computer, and a game I am playing on the BBS requires me to give it an Alt-Z, I can't send that with Telix, unless I am in doorway mode. That's the whole point of doorway mode. To permit you to send keystrokes that would normally be control keys for Telix, to whoever you have called. If you have a friend who deletes things on other people's computers, I would NEVER permit him to call my computer, for any reason. Or within a hundred yards of my computer, for that matter. I would first off like to thank Mark for the job he has been doing. I just hope I can do as well as he has done. I would like to wish Mark good luck in his future endeavors. He has told me that he will be checking in once in a while so we may see some post from him but as I understood him it may very well be rare. But he is very welcome as are the rest of you to participate as you see fit with in the rules of the echo. I will be posting the rules for the echo in an other message. They are basically the same as Mark was using with updated info showing me as moderator. I can be contacted by netmail at 1:234/2 or by internet E-Mail at benc@dmci.net. I do my BBS work using TFW as a Telnet client over the internet. You may at times see me post messages from two different BBS's. They are TOLTBBS (Toledo Oh)(1:234/2)(my main BBS, I am a user not the SYSOP) and COMM Port OS/2 (Sugar Land Tx)(1:106/2000)(a BBS that I monitor and post from sometimes).
