I knew you couldn't do it on the same computer so I "assumed" ( you know what that means ) it couldn't be done on a network. I thought I read and replied to this already. Here's a script Zack Jones provided several years ago to deal with this problem: main() { _back_color = 0; //sets background to black _fore_color = 15; //sets foreground to bright white //can use 7 here if you'd prefer Update_term(); //update the terminal clear_scr(); //clear the screen } Hope this helps. --- Blue Wave v2.12 * Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 192 TELIX Ref: F1300003 Date: 12/31/97 From: BRUCE WILSON Time: 07:00am \/To: LUC LEBRUN (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: telnet LL> can anybody tell me in details what is telnet and how to do it? Hi Rhonda, I remember, there were done some changes in the terminal emulations of v3.5x. Solution: -------- Assuming you're running "ANSI-BBS" as your default terminal type, I recommend to basically switch to "ANSI". That should solve your problem. I've had the very same problem/experience. Here's a script that Zack Jones gave me via the echo almost 4 years ago to fix it. It'll reset the colors to white on black (or, with modification, whatever conbination you want). main() { _back_color = 0; //sets background to black _fore_color = 15; //sets foreground to bright white //can use 7 here if you'd prefer Update_term(); //update the terminal clear_scr(); //clear the screen } Hope this helps. --- Via Silver Xpress V4.4P [Reg] * Origin: FOG-Line BBS - 515-964-7937 - 1:290/627 (1:290/627) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 192 TELIX Ref: F1500001 Date: 01/03/98 From: PETER MAY Time: 01:17pm \/To: LARRY RINK (Read 0 times) Subj: TFW + mousie Great to hear you got it fixed! --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: 1985 OziWest BBs Perth 61-[08-9458-1255] (3:690/416)
