It's approx 5 versions behind. e2864_1.z09 is the correct name of the file instead of e_109.zip or whatever it's called. I recently have posted the information here from a posting one of the developers made a long tima ago. Since I went from 5 lines to one (in prep for a move) I only have my USR Veverything online. There the non-compatable ZyXel sits unused and un-upgradable why yes it is an E+ upgradable.. just pay the new cost ad give us the old one and there you have it! How much extra would it cost to make the ZyXel compatable with all the other so-called lesser standards? Couldn't be much more than we are already paying for.. The BGFAX viewer can presently handle only 1D-MH faxes. If you need to be able to use the 2D-MR encoded faxes, you can use the ZFAX program that came with your modem to view them. It has to be called in our This is incorrect. BGFAX only requires a DTE speed shift to 19200 when the MODEM changes the speed. The ZyXEL modem does not speed shift to 19200 in #B1+FCLASS=6 mode. On modems like the ZyXEL and USR, the DTE rate can remain locked at 38400, 57600, or 115200--no problems. It is only other Class 2 modems (like Supra, Zoom, PPI, etc.) where BGFAX has to match the DTE speed at 19200 when receiving the fax. Since I went from 5 lines to one You'll never get that...cuz if you went with the V_Everything modem you couldn't connect with a ZyXEL E series modem...and Even if ZyXEL did the VFC protocols it wouldn't connect HST.....Hmmmmm...this would happen with ANY modem you bought. Thing is this....compare features and "STANDARDS"....you'll note that ZYXEL beats *ALL*.....and if you get the Elite modem it'll do the ISDN when you get it. I run a mail only system and hub out several networks to the Peterborough community and have *ONE* VFC only modem....he's moving in a couple of days so that means that I have *NO* problem connecting with anyone at 28.8. ...get a zyxel!!! The person I bought Supervoice from did not pursue any search for the registration card he had that went with the package he sold me. And this version will not work with the ZyXel 1496e+ modem. Oh well, I guess I should contact the software author and see if I can send my discs in for some form of upgrade. Thanks for letting me know of this. This is valuable information.
