Get a new Girlfriend! Macros should never use a key without having to add the "alt" key. BW> when it's selected. The question is: Can TFW be used as a telnet BW> client; and how's that accomplished if it can be? Yes it can be used as a telnet client. I have been using it for over a year as a telnet client. There may be more than one way to set it up but I will give you the details as I did it. Make a phone book entry for the BBS you want to telnet too. Then edit the entry and set the connect device to telnet and set the primary number to the domain name (if you have the dot numbers they can also be used) of the bbs you want to call. The other things such as name, password, script, protocol, etc is your choice as to their use or not. Once the phone book entry is completed connect to your ISP then launch TFW (I have had trouble if I launch TFW before connecting to my ISP) and highlight the entry you want to telnet to and hit the dial icon. TFW when used a a telnet client will support zmodem transfers both upload and download. Some telnet clients will not support zmodem upload and some not very good. But TFW does a very good job. Like any other thing on the net if conditions are right (wrong) it can be slow but this is the net not TFW. I have used TFW as a telnet client to at least 10 different BBS's and regularly 4. I even use scripts to make my mail run unattended after I hit the dial icon. ... Ben ...
