I currently run TriBBS 11.0 Pro and D'Bridge 1.58 and when I setup to go to the BBS without exiting the error message unable to allocate enough memory comes on the screen. I have tried to link to the BBS using the exit but I cannot use the defined parameters as they are setup for the BBS without the mailer being directly linked. BTW Is there any BBS programs that come highly recommended to work with DB 1.58 and is it possible to get DB 1.58 to recognize 20 Megs of extended memory? Are there any problems using Win 3.1 with DB 1.58 and will my kee work with the new DB 3000? I know this has been discussed here several times, but, as usual, I didn't save for the future. I just bought a new 33.6 modem by SMARTLINK. The modem config thingy doesn't list any 33.6 modems. Here's the problem: When I use telix (dos), and the generic hspeed modem config, I get transfers at about 3000 bps. Seems like this should be higher. ??? When I use TFW and the same generic config, I get transfers at about 400 bps. I _know_ it should be higher than that. I fooled with the control panel (in 3.11 for Work Groups), obviously I didn't do something right. Que pasa? What should I be doing? I tried adding &G17 to the init string (user guide sez this is default setting, spozed to allow max speed transfers.) I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanked. lance. --- Via Silver Xpress V4.4 [Reg] * Origin: Shakey Jake's *All Free BBS!* Santee, Ca (1:202/1324) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 192 TELIX Ref: EDQ00000 Date: 09/19/97 From: SHAWN ANDERSON Time: 12:58pm \/To: KARL BLANK (Read 0 times) Subj: Telix ? I can't seem to find it on any BBS. What would be the correct name. On D.O.S. version 3.22 a 1994 product I notice that the CAPTURE (Alt L) feature does capture but in the DOS editor it is not captured as it was originally seen. The TELIX.IMG feature in the Windows version captures exactly as seen. Why the difference? Bill Tracy --- FMail/2 1.22+ * Origin: Dave's RA!
