I have version 1.04 of Elite 2864 firmware and FAX doesn't work! Same problem here! I set up ZFAX 4.0 just like I set up ZFAX 3.25 which was working flawlessly with my U-1496 S+ LCD 19200 model. I can get my front end Intermail to recognize the FAX telephone signal and pass the EXECONN.BAT to go into ZFAX RF but it then terminates with an error Zero and I never get the FAX that was being sent in. On top of that when my front end InterMail tries to re-initialize the modem it is seen as offhook "OH" and fails to re-start InterMail for me. Also when it tries to start the BBS.BAT up again to bring InterMail back on line and ready for incoming calls again it detects the modem OH and aborts the start up sequence and aborts to a DOS promt. If I understand you correctly, the identical init string that I had used for my U-1496E+ for FAX will work with my new Elite 2864? If I might ask, why is such a high locked DTE required? I would have thought that 57600 would be sufficient. This requirement =may= "kill" a lot on doors on a node that uses such a high DTE rate.
