Sorry to take so long to reply! Thanks for the info on my monitor. I'm just curious as to why it doesn't blow the fuse now? Reckon the ransistor went open? Or something else. I have chased voltage around inside of it and it stops at a transformer or so it seems to me. Otherwise, nothing else ights up or buzzs or has a high pitched sound. It appears the 2E26's are'nt worth fooling with. I would like to find a half gallon 6m amp (solid state) working or not. AC power is not continuous where I am so I use 900 LBS of 2 Volt cells series to 14V and all radios run off that bank. With solid state I would'nt have to worry about filaments draining the batterys. If you or anyone sees a solid state hi power 6m amp project with the etching template or an existing amp that needs work let me know.
