Anyhow the premise still holds true, You NEED a 2 Only CA , Fla and Michigan use the 500 Khz split...the rest of the country primarily is still -1 Mhz offset... going to a NARROW split was a throwback to old retired unsupported radios that even commercial guys laugh at (Myself included!)... Sorry but all my MOTRACS (or Motrash as I call them) went in the dumpster where they shouldve gone back in the 70s!
