JD>Might work in Fla but I've seen it tried here with little success. Even though JD>I can stay warm that cold on my face just about knocks me out. The last dive I JD>did here was Thanksgiving and I felt very cold. Took about 5 mins just to get JD>my face under water even though the rest of me was warm. Hmmmm. I'm not looking forward to cold water diving when I move back to Canada. I have been living in Jeddah the last 7 years and The Red Sea is the only place I have ever dived. Unfortunately, as far as diving goes, I'm moving back to the Great White North on the 4th of Feb. I went for my last dive yesterday and the water temp was the coldest I have recorded - 75F! I'll look forward to picking up this conference when I get home to satisfy my hunger for that warm water diving, while I'm staring out the window at 5 foot banks of snow and minus 30 temps!:( Cheers, eh! Following are the official rules for participating in the message area: 1) The Scuba echo is the place to ask questions about the sport of Scuba diving. Please feel free to ask any questions, and to share your own experiences and dive travel reviews with all of us. 2) Please remember that many of the readers of this echo area are brand-new sport divers who do not have the necessary training and experience to handle advanced specialty diving situations. As far as I'm concerned it won't really warm up ere till June 1st. We get some mediocere weather in May but for the most part it is cold. That's one of the reasons I always try to get out of here for some place warm for Memorial Day. I had a chance to go to Jeddah once upon a ime, I never regretted not going though. I still remember part of the interview saying that I could not smoke or drink. Also you could not have pornography or bother any of the women. Kind of discouraged me because I was in my 20's at the time. The money was good but I just didn't think it was worth it.
