If they -> use SCBA equipment, they may have a way to fill SCUBA tanks. -> Another possibility would be to check at a place that fills -> welding tanks. You may need "nitrox scrubbed" tanks, but they may -> be able to blend "air" for you at a decent price. Well I found out that Riggins Id. has a rescue dive team for the salmon river. I did some talking and found out that a few friend I already know in town have known about the dive team and there compressor. "Compressor?!" Yeah I continued talking to people and found a few that will fill my tank for nothing. "Nothing!?" Yea! I would like to thank you for the idea! -> Good luck finding decent diving in Idaho! There are many great spots to diver in the lakes around here as well as the rivers. I not quite like the ocean but it just as good! HM> Are you connected to any dive shops in the area we will be in? I use to be good freinds with alot of the PPL down in that area. Most of the shops there are very good. Some of the ones that come in mind are Orbit, and ProDive. Steve might be able to help you alittle bit more on the dive shops. It has been about a year since I have been down there to talk to anyone... Helene, You have pick a good place to go to (Ft Lauderdale). I will say that you should be able to enjoy yourself 110% there. The diving should be good, but just as anywere else, the weather could blow the seas up.. Do get out and see as much of the city as you can. Might I suggest a water taxi ride.. Just about everyone that has gone on the water taxi has enjoyed it, and it is a quick way to do alittle sight seeing. Hope that you enjoy yourself, wish That I could join you there for the diving, I miss it alot!! TTYL Jeoff ... The Aquashot system is basically an inexpensive camera housing that holds a disposable camera. The package includes the housing, a strobe, a close-up lens, and a camera bag. The disposable cameras are only about $15. It's nothing real fancy, but if you just want simple underwater snapshots without a lot of hassle, then this is a good way to go. --- Home of Spring Break * Origin: [\] Diver Down BBS [\] Ft. I dove lake Memphremegog in the Eastern Townships. Brown surroundings with brown fish, vis about 20 feet. This summer I plan to dive the St-Lawrence river. We have good clubs that arrange outings. It is the biggest shop in the area and probably the best. I'm not saying this because I work there either. The wrecks in the lake are really quite nice to dive. Being fresh water they do not deteriorate. Most are from the late 1800's. The diving is quite good with temperatures in the 60's to low 70's to 40 feet. Beyond 40 feet it gets very cold. If you get up this way this summer let me know, I can maybe even take you out on the lake.
