I rented tanks on the first day from Avalon Aquatics. They sent me to Casino Point to do some shore dives. It was a nice, easy, "tune up" dive. Steve, the owner, was very helpful. The next day, we dove with King Neptune. It was chartered by Scuba Luv dive shop. It was around $80.00 for a three tank trip. That included tanks and weights. Also, they cooked lunch and provided drinks (unfortunatly, no beer). The first and second dives were kelp dives. The third was a dive called Seal Rock. A totally AWESOME dive! Giant California sea lions everywhere. It was by far my best dive ever. I'm writing on a friends computer. My name is Walt Willis. I was recently hired by Scubapro as a repair technician. I'm also a PADI instructor. If your ever in southern California, give me a call at (800)382-2211. If you dive with Scuba Services in Fort Smith AR, tell Cheryl Gilmore that I said hello. You can respond to Monte's computer to give me any message. Have fun on Catalina! I seem to remember they had Spare Air's for under the -> $300 mark the last time I looked. Not yet. I'm going to be down that way Thursday or Friday and if I can make time, I'll stop in. There's another discount supply in Key Largo, close to American Divers and I'll check there too if time permits. I guess I also ought to thumb through the very large stack of dive magazines I've got in the spare bedroom. Have you seen anything like the spare air holster I mentioned? The one that was in the kit just does not look secure to me. FYI, I just joined NetCom to get better Internet access. Seflin is fine as far as it goes, but there are lots of sites not in its lists and no way that I know of to get to them via the freenet. At any rate, I'm looking for scuba related sites. If you know of any of interest, I'm all ears. Lee --- PCBoard (R) v15.22/M 2 * Origin: The Cross Roads BBS Ft.
