What exactly are you looking for. I know of a couple of places that will take in used gear and overhaul/maintain it before reselling it. Also there are a couple of places up this way that are selling off their rental stuff. Let me know what you are looking for and where you are and I can let you know which of these will work for you. --- PCBoard (R) v15.21/10 * Origin: Singing Wire BBS - Rochester, NH 603-330-3504 (1:132/255) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 186 SCUBA Ref: CFM00007 Date: 11/16/95 From: JAY HANIG Time: 10:48am \/To: MONTE RINKENBAUGH (Read 1 times) Subj: Questing for job 15 Nov 95 01:50, Monte Rinkenbaugh wrote to Jay Hanig: MR> -+- Maximus 2.02 MR> + Origin: Barsoom BBS Kansas City, Mo (816)356-5444 USR V.FC 24HR MR> (1:280/20) No. Jay --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.12 * Origin: ** Jay's Mean Machine Sysop *Charlotte, NC* USR 33.6 ** (1:379/41.5) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 186 SCUBA Ref: CFM00008 Date: 11/15/95 From: DAVE HOWLETT Time: 11:03am \/To: MONTE RINKENBAUGH (Read 1 times) Subj: Scuba Employment Greetings from the Great White North Monte! Ido have some instructors managing a few stores in that area- you may be in luck some time. How's the weather? Just had 8 inches on snow here in Toronto (ready for your ice instructor credential? How ever we probably have the best medical knowledge in the world and the doctors we go to have paid good money for the best possible education they good receive.THe last time i heard it took at least 8 years of education to become a DR.I may be wrong But the point is we have plenty of Dr,s to go too for advice. If we are not satisfied we have the option and resources to get a second opinion.I personally respect are medical pro. and would heed to their advice,In addition when I dive with my dive body, I want to return home with them I wouldn't,t like to be the one to tell their loved ones that they knew the risk and they have no one to blame but themselves.Life is to short to take chances.that we were warned about. JG> Well, then how do you get an unconscious diver to the surface? ;) Divers all come with lift bags, they're called wetsuits & BCDs, usually just removing the weight belt will cause them to be positively bouyant and they will start to float upwards, and if ferrying an unconscious diver looks like endangering yourself, lie the diver horizontally in the water and let him/her float up by themselves. You may have to dump air from their BCD on the way up to check the ascent speed, if it gets too difficult and you find yourself out of control, then do not compromise your own safety. :) Alan --- Xenolink 1.95, XQwk 1.6 [REG 10062] * Origin: Archer BBS +61-2-371-0347 ArcherNet International (3:712/392) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 186 SCUBA Ref: CFM00013 Date: 11/14/95 From: ALAN BETHELL Time: 11:57pm \/To: STEVE ELLIOT (Read 1 times) Subj: LIFT BAG G'day Steve, On 11 November 1995 you were in deep conversation with James Gampper JG> SE> The only time I use a lift bag is during training classes. HAL Hal, I have recently heard that there is a Diamond Resort in Playa Del Carmen (across from Cozumel) which are all inclusives. (Technically that is probably Q. Roo rather than Yucatan but it is close). I am not sure how the diving is at that location but you might contact Diamond Resorts. I also see ads for Chinchorro Banks which is further south on the Penninsula but I had heard previously that it is pretty primative. I have seen an ad with the number 1-800-243-7480 so you might give them a call.
