Such discussion includes the interoperability with other products lines, as well as any future ZYXEL product lines and models. All discussion must pertain to ZyXEL products and protocols. Other echoes have been established for more general topics and for other manufacturers' product lines. These echo rules are expected to be followed; they are a guideline, however. If you have a question on a marginal issue, please feel free to use netmail. Failure to follow these rules may result in a request for your removal from the echo: 1. The Moderator of ZYXEL is: Doug Palmer -- FidoNet address 1:387/31, (210) 654-9792 Comments or complaints, especially regarding moderation of the echo, should be addressed to the above individual via Netmail. Any comments about moderation are strictly off-topic in the echo. Other co-moderators may be appointed from time to time. Such a co-moderator has equal voice with the Moderator in managing the echo. 2. The Official Language of the ZYXEL echo is English. Apologies to * those who use other languages. 3. Only those messages directly related to ZYXEL as outlined above are topical. 4. Some *specific* types of messages which are not allowed: a. No advertising. Commercial for-sale messages, dealerships, etc are strictly off-topic. Sysop prices are likewise not to be posted unless by an official representative of ZyXEL. Personal re-sale of ZyXEL modems (ONLY) will be permitted *ONCE* per offering. This is provisional and may be changed at any time. b. No messages on banned topics or moderation of the echo. Also, no messages of a personal nature. Take it to netmail. c. Absolutely no personal attacks, insults or other topics intending to provoke, rather than to discuss ZYXEL topics. d. Violation of FTS specs can be considered reason for moderator action. Other matters of Policy4 may also apply. 5. The use of your REAL NAME is expected at all times within the echo. If this is not possible, you must sign your REAL NAME somewhere in the text of the message. 6. These rules are subject to change without notice. They will be posted on the first and 15th of each month and as changes are applied. 7. Failure to comply with these rules will result in a request to restrict the offending party's access. Failure to comply with such a request will result in a loss of a feed. Many thanks to the moderators of the HST echo for the model used to construct these rules.
