RS> winter. I am thinking of buying the sherwood classic or magnum. RS> whitch RS> one should I get or do they use sherwood up there in ciold water RS> diving. According to undercurrent publications, SCUBAPRO makes the best regulator. This is based on testing by a publication that does not take advertizing (Kind of like the consumer reports of diving). Currently I own a mares reg. but my next will definitely be a SCUBAPRO. My second choice would be sherwood, and I see no problem with sherwood. I rented a sherwood when we went to get a snowmobile that had gone through ice in NY. Although it was several months later, the temp was still very cold with a wind chill below freezing and a fine layer of ice near shore. Dan Misiaszek SMART Divers ... What do you mean, QWK? JH> Is that one of those whistles that you blow underwater and the folks JH> up top get to hear little chirps as the bubbles break the surface? JH> I know you were making a joke here but believe it or not when our dive team is looking for a recovery item in separate groups, divers blow the whistles underwater to alert the other divers that the object of the search has been found. After hearing the whistle, divers surface and proceed with the next objective or evidence collection. I know what you are thinking... whistles don't work underwater... right? If you cup your hands and blow the whistle down into your air pocketed hands, it works fine and the sound travels great!
