Are they basically white/light grey with 4 or 5, thin horizontal black stripes, and about 2 to 3 times the size of a zebra mussel? If so I may have seen some on the CARLINGFORD off about Pt. Maitland just this past weekend. There has been a rumour going around lately to the effect that a fish, called a Round Goby , a natural predator to the zebra mussel has been discovered in the St. Clair River. Have you heard anything to that effect? This Round Goby as it is called is yet another "import" and is the natural predator from the Zebra Mussels home environment. --- QMPro 1.52 Politically incorrect and DAMNED proud of it!!! --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.11 * Origin: The Classic BBS*Niagara on the Lake,ON(905)262-5958 (1:247/216.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 186 SCUBA Ref: CD300006 Date: 08/31/95 From: CLIFF SUMBLER Time: 12:47am \/To: HELENE MAINVILLE (Read 1 times) Subj: Lesson learned HM>Should not the mask be brought down around the neck, so as not to fly off th >forehead? >Helene.
