Well, I am on the QMS website on my other line as I write this. Their search engine can find no mention of either "colorsprint" or "sprint". So, either this is an extremely old, non-warrantied printer (which would make sense, since the only laser printer of any sort that I can think of for 500 or less is the HP 4P or 5L, neither of which is color), or you've got the name wrong. The $ 5OO.00 is correct as well as the HP being black & white only in the 4L or 5L or 5L Extra. Ahhh.....there's the problem. Original message said "Colorsprint", not "colorscript." QMS's site DOES have ColorScripts on it. Nothing older than the 460, but at least we're on the same page now. However, the ColorScript 460 is a dye sublimation printer, and not a laser printer. I'm not trying to poke holes in anything here. I'm truly interested, if I can actually get a color laser for 500 bones. However, it looks like we're not actually talking about a laser printer. This uses ink, not toner. The 460 looks like a pretty fine printer, though, so I'd still be interested in getting any particulars on this thing. If either you or Orville have the information, I'd love to get it. I can not think of a tax benefit per say for a home based business. However, a business run from a home gives one the advantage that on good or bad days, weather and money wise, one has easily accessible and a cozy place to work in or from. Tax wise, if one has other income then the loss from the home or small business, is deductible from that other income. As a rule it gives one an opportunity to start a new venture without investing in rental and other daily offices expenses. Each case has its own merits. ...Vija --- FMail/386 1.0g * Origin: Kolico Communications, BANCROFT, Ontario (1:253/60.1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 184 HOME OFFICE Ref: EBW00000 Date: 07/26/97 From: FRANCO RIOS Time: 10:10am \/To: AUGUST ABOLINS (Read 2 times) Subj: ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE FR> Ask your accountant or bookeeper what software they like to see their FR> clients using for a second opinion.
