It had some software on it, including a kind of office suite called PushButton. It apprears to be a 1993 product. Has anyone used this? I'm especially interesting in the spread sheet program. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I'd also like to have a resource I can ask questions of. I have a project coming up where I will need the spread sheet. I learned a lot from the lady who did the audit, and was gratified to find that we were doing everything right as far as the tax department was concerned, and didn't owe them any extra. IN fact, she showed me ways to get some back at year end. I think both of us hating MYOB got us off to a "common enemy" footing which allowed us to avoid the adversarial approach, plu I assumed she had a lot of tax experience which I couldn't get from books, and my attitude of wanting to avail myself of her expertise was not the way she was used to being treated, so she opened up like a flower in the sunshine. It was one of the most useful days I've spent in terms of over-all gain. Being on good terms with the tax man is rather like living peacefully in a bull paddock. It can be done, but isn't at all comfortable. --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Applied Technology BBS [604] 946-5814 (1:153/951) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 184 HOME OFFICE Ref: E5T00004 Date: 05/24/97 From: GARY HARDIN Time: 12:12am \/To: AUGUST ABOLINS (Read 2 times) Subj: looking for career (was: self employed) On Star Date 19 May 97 August Abolins opened a channel Mike Fellhauer... My first thought when I read this was, "Professional hitchhiker." That used to be a possibility some time ago, just hitchhiking from place to place and finding odd jobs or temporary work in whatever town. I even considered it myself at one point, but marriage makes that not an option. But on to serious ideas. There *are* places that pay you to move cars from place to place. You get to travel and get paid for it. The downside is, you have to *really* like driving. Hmm. Outgoing, great personality, needs a challenge, loves to travel and doesn't mind independent . . . sounds like all of the prerequisites for a top-level sales and marketing executive, especially in a multi-level marketing organization. Maybe Avon, Amway, Christmas Around the World, or Tupperware, just to name a few of the better-known examples. Good memorization skills? If so, theater might be an option. Then she wouldn't have to write her own material, so it wouldn't be quite as radical a step for her. Well, that's my off-hand advice, which I guarantee is worth at least what you paid for it. If it doesn't perform to your expectations, feel free to return it for a full refund.
