I have a PhoneMate 2-line model that has two mini-cassettes for incoming messages, but the outgoing greetings (one per line) are recorded digitally. My only disappointment with this unit is that whenever I lose power to the unit (in my area, that's frequently), the outgoing greetings get "erased" from memory and you have to re-do them. Big pain in the butt. P.S. You also have to re-do the special 3-digit code that allows you to retrieve your messages remotely. If you don't change the factory defaults, ANYBODY can retrieve and delete your messages. --- * Origin: Nothing in fine print is ever good news. - Andy Rooney 1:261/1002) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 184 HOME OFFICE Ref: DEL00002 Date: 10/15/96 From: HOWARD SCAGGS Time: 05:10pm \/To: DICK ROEBELT (Read 7 times) Subj: Question > HS>is yours?
