I had a similar problem with my touchfone and modem sharing the same socket. After separating the two the problem disappeared. I was using Telix for dos. Hope this helps. No problem with 4.20, problem with 4.21. I agree with you, it appears to be a problem with the dialing directory. Even when it is the first call after the modem is turned on and initialized. JM>Good talking to you In My Case (Since ICan't Comment On Earls), I Can Turn On My Computer, Go Straight From Dos (Or Windows 3.1, Don't Matter) And The First Number I Try To Dial From The Dial Window, Might Or Might Not Dial.... Sometimes It Might Work Perfectly, Dialing All Five Of The Regular BBS's I Call All In A Row, Other Times It Might Take Me 10-15 Tries To Get 2 Or 3 Of Them..... Since It Was Mentioned I Have Tried Terminal Mode And It Has So Far (Knock On Wood) Worked... Gets A Little Tiresome Typing Out Each Number Though.... Other Then That Slight Bug, I Find Tm Very Easy To Use And Setup. Some Other Sound Card Support For The Alarms Might Be Nice... All The Copies I've Had, Will Only Support Adlib Cards...
