CN> Have a soundblaster pro installed. Where in the heck do I find the CN> area to fix this?? To adjust the standard songs, run TMINST.EXE and check your settings under "Alarm Song" for the song itself. Then in TM under "Options" make sure you have enought time set under "Alarm Sound" and "Alarm Time". If you are using the external alarm with your SBPro, you need to edit your TMALARM.BAT file to get your preferred settings. TMALARM.TXT will refresh you on the details. Hope that helps! I can't send characters with a mouse click which is by far and MB> away the most unique and important aspect that separates Telemate Winfred has mentioned this; I believe he is working on it. MB> 2. I can't get the full 25 line terminal screen no matter how many MB> lines I specify in setup, so the screen shrinks and truncates MB> everything just like ProComm Plus for Windows and the like. The Terminal window is supposed to resize upon connect to the number of rows and columns specified under "Tools|Options|Terminal", using the font you have chosen, so that there are no scroll bars if possible. What font, font size and screen resolution are you using? If you want the terminal text itself to fill the screen in a maximized Terminal window, try a larger font size and/or look for a file named MSIFONT.ZIP which contains 3 excellent full screen terminal fonts (for 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768). It's freeware and can be found on ftp.mustang.com If the Terminal window is shrinking too much and truncating things, maybe your row/column settings for TMWin don't match what you have set up at the BBS? Even in 640x480, you should be able to get everything onscreen using 10pt terminal font. If not, under "Window" turning off the Macro Bar, Tool Bar and Status Line should definitely allow you to see 25 rows. MB> 3. It is unbearable annoying to have to expand the terminal window MB> and close the backscroll window (which I only rarely use) each time MB> I start up. I would need a way to set the windows so that the MB> program started up with the terminal window fully expanded and a MB> pre-set sized dialer window on top just like my beloved Telemate Arrange all of the windows how you would like them, then go to "Window" and click on "Save Layout". The next time you start TMWin, it should remember your window arrangement, including the minimized backscroll window. Also under "Tools | Options | Start up" you can specify which window will appear on top when TMWin opens. Hope this helps! I think one suggestion is to make sure all the port settings in TMWin are at 38.4 instead of 57.6+. For some reason that seems to help in some situations. Then double check the init string of course. FWIW, I have been getting 28.8 connects regularly with TMWin and my USR Sportster. For the USR Sportster, I have very good luck with AT&F1 which is the factory default for compression and hardware flow control. ATZ can give a slightly different result, depending on what profiles you have saved. ATM1X4S0=0S7=90S11=50&C1&D2&B1&H1&K1&N0&R2^M~~ is the one included in TMWin, which is essentially the same factory defaults, but with a longer S7 time out allowed. I added the M1 to be sure the speaker was on (I also use RoboComm, which turns it off) and changed the S11 setting to 50 to make it dial faster. LG> Please post one that can connect at 28.8 Both of those strings give me frequent 28.8 connects, but I still get some 26.4 and 21.? connects depending on where I am calling and the quality of the phone line connection at the time.
