I was getting solid 28800 connects with a USR V.Everything modem. After about two weeks, my connects are now 9600 and I can't figure out why. I have looked at my entire setup and nothing appears changed. I also have Procomm Plus and Qmodem Pro and they connect fine at 28800. I have the port locked at 115200 and this setup saved in the NVRAM. Entering ATZ or AT&F does not clear the 9600 set in the active profile. Even turning the modem off and back on, I am still stuck at 9600. If I shut down TMW and startup either Procomm or Qmodem, my active profile returns to 115200. Has anyone had this happen or got some suggestions why this is happening? Thanks in advance. *See ya 'round the system, Tom* --- FMail/386 1.02 * Origin: Software Heaven (813) 653-0431 (1:377/41) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 177 TELEMATE Ref: CE500000 Date: 10/01/95 From: JOHN WARNER Time: 08:26am \/To: RYAN BURDICK (Read 8 times) Subj: TMW and Fonts On 09-24-95 Ryan Burdick regarding TMW and Fonts said: |>have it, it is a full TT font, fixed spacing and includes the |>extended IBM PC symbol set (the box drawing characters most |>people mistakenly call ANSI) those characters > 127d. I found that graphical ones are just too slow and jerky, and sometimes the ansi graphics screw up. I know there is a couple text-based comm programs for OS/2, so why not make for one for Win95 and keep us dos users happy. I think the advantage is that win95 specific version would use less CPU, better file transfering without dozens of errors.
