You have been ignoring the echo rules for some time, which I have let slide, by not posting your real name. Now, you wish to add insult to injury by by encouraging more off topic mail. You will now abide the rules in the future. The echo rules are simple. If you can not go along with the rules, cease posting in the echo. The next time you post without your real name in the header or in the message, or send another off-topic post, I will start proceedings to remove you from the echo. I don't like posting these kinds of messages, but apparently some of you people feel too constrained by the echo rules. If the rules are too much for you to handle, find another echo that suits your fancy. Do not reply to this message in the open echo. Perhaps the problems you're having are related to the native Win comm drivers and/or their settings. I would suggest that you review the comm driver settings that you have and make sure that they're in line with TMW's settings. Check the fifo and rx/tx buffer sizes and such, maybe experiment with them a little to see if you can correct the problem. If not, it might be worth the effort to install WFXCOMM as your Win comm driver and see if that corrects the problem. hope that helps. ... Got another idea for you, make a TMW.PIF (I did) using Gordon V's ideas (modified a bit below) on a pif for TM-DOS, it's helped me get better connects. Make a TMW.PIF* file (Put in your C:\TMW\ directory) and change the foreground/background priority settings to EQUAL settings. I suggest a setting of 100 for each. Make sure that the PIF (only for TELEMATE) file has the "/W" switch under the "Optional Parameters" section. If you are starting TM through a batch file, then add the /W switch in the batch file. ...
